As one of California’s oldest wine regions, the Livermore Valley played a pivotal role in shaping California’s wine industry. Spanish missionaries planted the first wine grapes in the 1760s. Since the 1880’s, Murrieta’s Well is considered one of Livermore Valley’s original wine estates. Today, this region is highly sought after for its soil, climate, geography, and its rich winemaking tradition.
